Funmi who holds a Master's degree in Law was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria 20 years ago.

After a 3-year stint as a Lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the premier university in Nigeria, University of Ibadan, she set up her own Chambers. She is also a Registered Mediator and Arbitrator. Mrs. Funmi Roberts is a member of the National Executive Council of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Apart from serving on the board of several Non-Governmental Organizations, Mrs. Roberts has attended many International Conferences and represented Nigeria at the African Union/Civil Society Conferences. She is also a part time Consultant with the African Union CSSDCA Unit.

She is married and blessed with 4 sons.
