Well organized. Kudos. Please advertise/publicize the conference early enough and encourage other business women to sponsor or empower another woman.
Abimobola Fashola, First Lady of Lagos State.

The first time but it was worth my time. Learning to say No is very apt, and a topic every woman needs to hear. The choice of topics by WIMBIZ is highly commendable. Congratulations to you all. With the women in WIMBIZ, this country has a future. You are all worth celebrating!
Oludayo Kufeyi

A highly educative and motivating programme and if one person’s life (mine) is touched and changed for the better, then the objective of WIMBIZ has been met!

SHOW UP! Morin Desalu charged us and I am so glad that I showed up for the 2009 WimBiz Conference. I left feeling inspired, motivated, challenged and ready to 'Change the Game and make a difference', I think I have already made a start, one even my husband noticed yesterday when I got home and he asked why I was in such a good mood!. Thank you to the board and the conference planning group for making this such a brilliant conference. The speakers gave us a lot of food for thought and speaking to delegates during the networking sessions was a great way to hear things from a different perspective. It really has been for me the best and most inspiring two days I have spent in a group of women. I would like to order some CDs of the event to give out to friends, could you please let me know how much they cost and how to order them.

Thank you once again. I will definitely be showing up again.
Fehintola Odulaja

I always learn something new each time I come to WIMBIZ and most importantly, it shows up in my personal growth, either by being more organized or investing more or just being a better person. – Chichi Ohiaeri

Worth while, good! Very inspiring and I am once again challenged to push myself a lot more and hopefully inspire other people in the process. I think you made the best of a “not too good” venue (the tent). I generally felt comfortable. Worth every investment, time and money. Already looking forward to the next Conference and I’m really hoping the cost, location and timing will be convenient. Adeola Chi-Osakwe

The debate was a very very brilliant idea and it came out really nicely and the people made definite decisions on the points; Honestly, the purpose of the Conference was to inspire, inspire it did. I was really impressed with everything even though I didn’t attend day one. It’s good to see women who don’t just talk but actually inspire other women to stay with their firm beliefs and reach for the top. I really do hope there is a succession plan. It’ll help integrate and motivate younger

Though events didn’t start early, you still managed to finish on time and yet the sessions were very impactful
Igun Olabisi

I must commend WIMBIZ on its choice of speakers. The practical approach of most speakers made it very exciting. I believe that a lot of young entrepreneurs will benefit from this because most haven’t mastered this concept here. This is my first attendance but I intend to be more involved in WIMBIZ activities, because you have whoaed (is there a word like that?) me!
Ikomi Bawo

Excellent, Excellent, Please keep up the good work
Bolanle Alao

Osaretin Salami

Excellent, I have never seen such a combination of brains and beauties before! I am really impressed. It’s my first time in WIMBIZ or any women conference. I love to be like you!!! I am impressed about the whole conference. It’s my first time and I can’t just see any loophole. Maybe by my 3rd, 4th Conference, I can see something to improve on. But most importantly, you guys are super and fantastic, and I’m happy about the opportunity of being part of such a wonderful organization. Keep doing good
Taiwo Grace

This was an all round expository, informative, educative and even entertaining event. I give God praise for this expose, I’m eternally indebted to WIMBIZ first for sponsoring my attendance and second, for all I got to see and hear. I met new people, heard new things, (even ate new things) and I feel so strongly about it that I’m surely set to change the game and make a difference in every aspect of my life. I suddenly have been able to pick up courage to work on me, my values, even my faith. Now, the urge to be “somebody” is stronger in me. However it goes, WIMBIZ will and is definitely a part of my success story. I HAVE BEEN BLESSED, CHANGED.
Adebayo Victoria Iretiolu

The Conference has been very insightful and inspiring. It has given me a broader spectrum of information and people to look up to. I think this Conference has been very worthwhile. Information indeed is power. I have learnt so much. The onus is indeed on me to act upon the information/inspiration I have received and change my life to affect my generation. I have learnt much more to package myself as a brand. There is a need for me not only to work hard, but to develop my skills, package myself to my target audience, my bosses, and my clients. I should not only accept the norm and go with the flow, I need to be ambitious, have drive, be focused and pay the price to make an impact on my generation. Thank you WIMBIZ for empowering me -
Metoghara Adebusuyi

Superb and well packaged conference. This is an assemblage of not just beauty, but a combination of beauty and brains. My impression? Everything was perfectly put in its place. As a team you did well. I got humbled seeing delectable women who chose to make a difference by changing the game in an environment devoid of decorum and of course dominated by men. Women who have excelled in business and management, irrespective of the attendant challenges. I hope someday I’ll be able to join this noble NGO. Bravo! Congrats!! Well-done!!! I LOVE YOU ALL
Ijeoma Dom-Nwachukwu

I will definitely love to show up in all other conferences. I have really enjoyed this conference and gained tremendously from the various topics taken. I believe a lot of women out there have gained and will continue to gain from WIMBIZ & all her programmes. There is need to take softer issues, family related issues along side the business issues bringing in the work/life balance issues. I look forward to more great WIMBIZ Conferences. Thank you WIMBIZ for I have had a great time in 2009 Conference

Importance of Corporate Governance for SMEs
Author: Hany Abou-el-fotouh

There are several definitions for corporate governance. However, the most appropriate definition which is more relevant to small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) describes corporate governance as "a set of rules, regulations and structures which aim to achieve optimum performance by implementing appropriate effective methods in order to achieve the corporate objectives". Leadership and Management      “The world is full of managers and desperately short of leaders – real leaders.”   Before we start discussing about leadership and management, we must have a clear understanding of what the terms ‘leaders and managers’ and ‘leadership and management’ mean, because these words are often used interchangeably. IS IT TIME TO MOVE ON?

Looking for a way to get off the treadmill of your busy life?

Would you be happy if this time next year you are in the same job, doing the same thing, with the same people? If your answer is no, it may be time to move on.

Women As Leaders - Part 1

For years, women in business have tried to be more like men. Men have traditionally held the power positions and it only made sense that the way to achieve that same standing was to imitate the leadership traits of our male counterparts.

In this endeavour, women have tried to overcome or mask many of their innate characteristics like being collaborative, sensitive to others and relationship-focused in favour of a more aggressive, less caring
